Zaki Nusseibeh: We renew our pledge and loyalty to our wise leadership to make every effort to preserve the Union’s valuable gains.

His Excellency Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Cultural Advisor to His Highness the President of the State - Supreme President of the United Arab Emirates University, witnessed the university’s celebration of “Flag Day”, in the presence of teaching staff, administrative faculty members and students of the UAEU.

In his speech, His Excellency Zaki Nusseibeh said: “On this glorious national occasion, I extend my highest congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, may God protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President-Prime Minister-the Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, and their brothers, Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council of the Federation, Rulers of the Emirates, and to the people of the Emirates, calling on God Almighty to protect everyone as an asset to the homeland, and to return this occasion to our dear homeland with more pride and distinguished achievements.

He added: “We are proud of our meeting today to raise high the banner of our dignity and pride, and we stand proudly in devotion for the flag of our homeland, expressing our deep love for its land and soil. We also renew on this day our pledge and loyalty to our wise leadership to make every effort to preserve the precious gains of the Union, and to continue strengthening the values of goodness and generosity in the souls of our sons and daughters, and the continuation of the process of cultural and scientific development, the foundations of which were laid by the founder of the United Arab Emirates, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul.”
