UAEU Hosts Emirati Astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi and A Number of Members of the 69th Mission

The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) hosted Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi, who fulfilled Zayed's ambition to embark on the longest space mission in Arab history, in the presence of some of his colleagues in the 69th expedition to the International Space Station, and His Excellency Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Cultural Advisor to His Highness the President of the UAE and Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University, and in the presence of large students.
His Excellency Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh said: "The United Arab Emirates University is honored to welcome the son of the UAE, astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi, who was able to achieve the dream of the founder of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and to complete the longest space mission in the history of the Arabs."
He added: "The wise leadership has believed since the beginning of the dawn of the Union that the youth of the country are the driving force that will contribute to achieving achievements and successes that highlight the leadership of the country, and that the "impossible" is just a word that does not exist in the dictionary of the UAE's march towards universality in all fields, and the potential of its young men and women goes beyond dreams to creative actions and works that impresses everyone."
He said: "We are confident and hopeful that this experience will be an honorable and inspiring model for all the youth of the country, pushing them to walk the journey of creativity and excellence, and prove their excellence and abilities in overcoming all difficulties and obstacles, and achieving the hopes and dreams of our wise leadership in reserving a permanent seat for the UAE within all future space flights." During the meeting, astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi, astronaut Frank Rubio, Stephen Bowen and Dmitry Petelin reviewed their experience aboard the International Space Station, emphasizing the importance of teamwork in order to success any mission, as they were briefed during a tour of the National Space Science and Technology Center, and a number of leading laboratories at the university.
