UAE University Attracts Outstanding Citizens in the “Teaching Assistants Program” To Work as Faculty Members

The United Arab Emirates University is attracting and developing Emiratis faculty
members through the "Teaching Assistants Program", which provides scholarships to
distinguished graduates who have the desire to complete their graduate studies and
work in the academic field.
Dr. Badreyya AlKhanbouli, Director of the National Faculty Recruitment and Development Office - who supervises the program, said that the university attracts distinguished faculty members, provides special support to Emirati faculty members, and provide high-quality administrative and technical services. She added that graduate studies and programs (Master's - PhD) are being prepared, continuously updated, and externally evaluated in accordance with the highest international quality standards.
Regarding the application, Dr. Badreyya added, “ One of the methods the office recruits TAs is that the faculty members of the academic departments nominate distinguished graduates for the positions of teaching assistants, based on their cumulative GPA, personal skills, and their readiness for graduate studies. The scholarship offered to the teaching assistant includes a monthly salary in addition to tuition expenses for all master’s and doctoral degrees, health insurance, annual travel tickets, and children education expenses. The final evaluation of each candidate takes place after a personal interview.
The graduate program scholarships requirements are: The applicant must be a citizen of the UAE, the cumulative GPA in the bachelor’s degree should be 3.3 or above, the applicant should have a score of 7 in the English language test (IELTS) and that he/she undertakes to study master’s and doctoral degrees abroad Visit the UAEU official website, the page of the National Faculty Recruitment and Development Office (uaeu.ac.ae).
