The joint symposium aims to review the most remarkable research and innovations in the renewable energy, practical applications, case studies, and the potential impact of the two universities’ research on climate action, in addition to the two institutions’ strategies for mitigating climate change around the world.
Prof. Ahmed Murad - Associate Provost for Research, explained, “The UAE University has placed energy as a strategic research priority within the university’s plan for the academic year 2023-2026 in order to provide the main capabilities that help in achieving qualitative research leaps that contribute to leadership and excellence in the renewable and clean energy.” It also contribute to overcoming many research challenges related to the clean energy sources, including solar and hydrogen energy, in addition to the relationship between energy, water, and food.
This joint workshop also represents evidence of the existence of academic research collaboration that achieves high-quality outcomes that are reflected in knowledge and science. The energy diversification, especially clean energy, is an important means of achieving sustainability and achieving climate neutrality.
Prof. Ahmed Murad, Associate Provost for Research added, “The UAE University and Monash University have had long-standing relations since 2004. Both institutions signed memorandums of understanding to facilitate research cooperation, exchange programs and joint projects.
