The UAEU Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai conducted debates on the Sustainable Development Goals , during which new and innovative ideas were presented that would contribute to developing a road map for achieving a better and more sustainable future. The Sustainable Development Goals include 17 goals that were issued in UN Resolution Agenda 2030.

The sustainable development goals include four main themes, namely, environment, social development, economic development, and partnerships. Dr. Ahmed Murad, Deputy Commissioner-General of the UAEU Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, honored the winners of the best ideas: The College of Engineering team won first place, the College of Science team won second place, and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences team won third place.
