UAEU Organizes a Photography Exhibition

As part of the Year of Giving, the Student Activities Department (male campus) at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) organized a photography exhibition by Mohammed Al Qasem, a student in the College of Business and Economics. It was held on Monday 6th February. in the Crescent Building at UAEU in the presence of Dr. Ali Al Kaabi, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Enrollment, other staff members and also students.
Dr. Al Kaabi said that, “the exhibition aimed to highlight the role of art in supporting volunteers and encourage students to show their creativity and be innovative during the Year of Giving.”
Mohammed Al Qasem displayed his photography, the profits from the sale of which will support voluntary work both inside and outside the UAE.
The photographs were of modern cities around the world and included images of Khalifa Tower in Dubai, the tallest building in the world, and also the Eiffel Tour in Paris. In addition there were natural scenes from Africa and others showcasing wildlife in the UAE.
This event was part of the Year of Giving 2017. UAEU supports and encourages its students to highlight their talents through extra-curriculum activities, as they go on an creative journey that prepares them to be leaders in the future.
