The Center for Career Placement and Alumni at the United Arab Emirates University organized a lecture entitled, ‘Five things you need to know before your first job’. It was presented by Mr. Khaled Al Ameri, a human development trainer in the theater in the College of Information Technology on Tuesday, November 3^rd, 2015.  

The lecture dealt with advice and professional guidance for soon to graduate students before their first job to help them find an appropriate job where they can develop their professional skills. The lecturer gave five pieces of advice: do not seek to work in huge companies at the beginning of your career; try to find a mentor from your family or work place; work hard; develop your skills and always learn. He expanded these themes in order to benefit the students.

The Career Planning and Placement Section in the Center for Career Placement and Alumni at UAEU provides lectures and workshops on a regular basis in order to produce graduate leaders and pioneers. They seek to develop the capabilities of students in order to further their ambitions and academic specialities.
