Overview
UAEU recognizes the responsibility of the university and its graduates to contribute to the well-being of the broader community. Community engagement and social responsibility describe how we make a difference to the social and economic wellbeing of our communities through teaching, research, public events and activities.
Inspired by UAEU’s vision of ‘Leadership and innovation in higher education, research and community service at national and international levels,’ our students and employees are encouraged to become active members of the local communities, engaging in service and activities that enhance the quality of life for both others and themselves.
Throughout each academic term, a variety of outreach events and initiatives are hosted inside and outside UAEU in order to bring the campus and community together. In addition, every year also sees the university put in place a strategy to align with the annual UAE Government directives. From growing organic food for charities as part of the 2017 Year of Giving to having students from the College of Medicine and Health Sciences providing free health advice to the community. Students, faculty and staff at UAEU are encouraged to participate in a plethora of community-driven initiatives each year.
