Dr. Amany El Anshasy is an Associate Professor of Economics at the College of Business and Economics, the UAEU. She Joined the UAE University as an Energy Economist in 2008. She earned her Ph.D. degree in Economics from George Washington University in 2006. Dr. El Anshasy holds a Masters in Economic Policy and Planning from the Institute of Social Studies, Erasmus University, the Netherlands. Her research and teaching focuses on oil prices, the Energy-Environment-Economy Nexus, Macroeconomic policy and Economic Development.

Dr. El Anshasy is an Economic Research Forum (ERF) Fellow to which she coordinated and contributed book chapters and policy briefs. She coordinated advanced courses in Economic Statecraft and lectured at the National Defense College, Abu Dhabi. Dr El Anshasy has several years of academic experience with the Faculty of Commerce, Department of Public Finance, Alexandria University (Egypt). She contributed papers to several reputable international journals.
