English Bridging Course

1. The English Bridging course targets students who have been conditionally admitted to the university due to not achieving the required English language scores for direct admission. These students include:
   • Those who scored 5.0 on the Academic IELTS.
   • Those who scored 500 on the TOEFL - ITB.
   • Those who scored 61 on the TOEFL - iBT.
   • Those who scored 173 on the TOEFL - CBT.
   • Those who scored 1100 on the EMSAT English exam.
   • Or those with equivalent scores.
2. Conditionally admitted students must achieve the required score for direct admission, which is:
   • 5 on the Academic IELTS.
   • 525 on the TOEFL - ITB.
   • 70 on the TOEFL - iBT.
   • 194 on the TOEFL - CBT.
   • 1250 on the EMSAT English exam.
   • Or an equivalent score.
   • Alternatively, they must pass the offered bridging course within a single academic semester.
3. Conditionally admitted students (in English) are permitted to enroll in bridging courses (prerequisite courses) for a maximum of two different courses (0 credit hours) per semester.
4. The English bridging course is offered free of charge once to students enrolling in the university in or after the first semester of the 2023/2024 academic year.
5. Students who enrolled in the university before the first semester of the 2023/2024 academic year can take the English bridging course upon paying a tuition fee of 4800 AED, payable to the bridging courses account via the following link:
6. If conditionally admitted students fail to achieve the required score for direct admission or fail to pass the English bridging course within one academic semester, their conditional admission will be cancelled.
7. Students who fail to complete the bridging course on the first attempt may re-enroll in the course after paying a tuition fee of 4800 AED to the bridging courses account via the following link. In such cases, the university may readmit the student if they complete the English bridging course within one semester, provided this does not conflict with the regulations issued by the Ministry of Education.
