on behalf of the UAEU Community
to H.H Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed

Supreme Commander of the
Armed Forces, for their generous
gesture of providing this new
campus to the UAE University.
His Highness said: “Their generosity
and their vision for the future of
the university presents a major
incentive for all of us to redouble
our eforts so that the university is
always succeeding, always meeting
their Highnesses’ expectations
and always achieving all goals and
objectives.�? His Highness took the
opportunity to express appreciation
and respect to His Highness the
President and greatly valued His
Highness’s interest in the University.

Thanks to the Wise Leadership for its
imitless trust and support of the UAE
University and Higher Education
of UAEU and deeply valued their
interest in all our endeavors.
These words are an extract from
the address given by the Chancellor
on September 19, 2011 at the
Annual Convocation for the UAE
University on the occasion of the
2011/2012 Academic Year in the
Great Hall of the new campus.
The Chancellor added; “As we
begin our new academic year, the
university continues to achieve at
a high level, our rank among the
top 400 universities of the world
continues to improve. The university
stands as a successful model of a
national university that is focused
on human development and is
closely connected to national eforts
of development and progress.
Its graduates make signifcant
contributions to society and its
faculty makes major contributions
to research success and innovation
in the country and the world�?.
In addition, the Chancellor stated:
“our university has shown on
every occasion a clear ability to
deal efectively with constant
change. That ability marks its
accomplishment in the education
of its students, its high quality
graduate program, its relevant
and useful research program,
its strong partnerships with the
community, its efective alumni
relations, and its strong connections
with world universities�?.
