Honorary President of the
Family Initiative Committee for
the Emirati Olympiad, UAEU
organized its frst forum for
students with special needs
under the title “The Best Practices
in Special Education�? during
May 2011 in the University new
campus in Al Ain.
During the forum, 35 scientifc topics
were presented including specialized
workshops with participation
of specialists in the UAE.
The forum aims at throwing light
on the latest studies in the area of
teaching special needs students.
It focuses as well on the inclusion
of special needs students in
various stages of education and
presenting practical examples.
In her speech which was delivered
on her behalf by her Business Agent
Fatima Saif Al Shamsi, Sheikha
Rawda Bin Zayed Al Nahyan said
that such specialized educational
forums which look after the needs
of our boys and girls, constitutes a
pioneering initiative which engraves
the names of participants in the
records of honor, generosity and
civilized awareness. In addition it
is admirable to provide students
of special needs the opportunity
to work and participate in the
development of society and the
nation, which follows our prudent
leadership that cares for each
citizens and their development.
