Education & Scientifc Research,
Chancellor of the UAE University,
on Wednesday, June 15th, 2011
inaugurated the new website
of the University which now
has its focus on its alumni.
The University is interested in
launching interactive channels
to help graduates achieve their
ambitions as well as to achieve the
major strategic goals that help serve
the interests of the community.
The launching ceremony of the new
website was held at the IT Faculty
building in the new campus in
the presence of members of the
University Council who were in the
company of H.E Sheikh Nahayan
during his tour of the new facilities
that are nearing completion.
In statements during the tour, the
Minister of Higher Education &
Scientifc Research said the move
was part of eforts by the varsity to
promote the process of development
and modernization, which he said
is now “a distinctive feature of the
university’s strategies and plans
to provide graduates and students
with opportunities for efective
communication in order to enable
them preserve and consolidate
cultural and scientifc UAEU’s ties
with the international and Arab
academic community. The aim being
a round-the-clock interaction to
upgrade standards of services and
promote them through dialogue.�?
For his part, Dr. Abdullah Saad Al-
Khanbashi, Vice Chancellor of UAEU,
said that the launch of the website
by H.E Sheikh Nahayan refects his
support for the University’s eforts
as well as embodies the University’s
eforts to open interactive channels
with its graduates to maintain
contact and help them realize their
ambitions and keep pace with
the latest developments in the
areas of education and knowledge
in the country, and also achieve
the outstanding strategic goals
that serve the community.�?
Ms. Mona Al Hamadi, the Executive
Manager of Vice Chancellor` ofce
and Chairwoman of the Graduates
Project said that the new bilingual
website, Arabic & English is aimed
to enhance communication among
the members of the university
community including the teaching
staf, students, administrators
and graduates who all constitute
one family and an integral
part of the academic entity.
It is noteworthy that the website
which is in Arabic and English
provides a large number of services
such as access to a database for
more than 52000 male and female
graduates. Through the website, the
graduates can update their personal
and professional data online,
create life-time email accounts and
communicate with other graduates
and members of the university
community. Moreover, students
and graduates can acquaint
themselves with on-campus and
of-campus events organized by
the university, enjoy all services
provided for graduates as well as to
communicate with the university
administration round the clock.
The website is indented to
enhance communication among
the teaching staf, students,
administrators and graduates who
all are meant to be an integral
part of the academic body.
