distance learning systems and
electronic learning. Among the
most important perspectives
and suggestions discussed was
the creation of a strategic plan
of activities by the committee
during the years 2012 – 2017
along with the new by-laws of
electronic learning and distance
learning, and the development
of the courses electronically. Also
considered is the invitation of the
committee members to attend
meetings of degrees equivalence
in the GCC, to represent the
committee in the international
conference, and enhance the on-
going communication between
the GCC universities in this feld.

in the GCC
Ofcials of distance learning in the
GCC discussed the importance of the
development of electronic courses,
activation of electronic learning
and setting provisions that regulate
distance learning by developing a
strategic plan for the period 2012 –
2017 in addition to the equivalence
process of the degrees issued by GCC
universities for web based courses.
