Nahayan Heads the
Second University
Council and Approves
New Programs and
New Academic
Degrees

Education & Scientifc Research,
UAEU Chancellor, headed on the 15th
of June 2011 the second meeting of
the University Council of the second
term of the academic year 2010-2011
at the premises of the Faculty of IT
in the University new campus. Many
new Decrees were approved as well
as awarding academic degrees to
the graduates of the frst semester
of the academic year 2010-2011.
The Council also approved the
opening of double specialization
within the MBA degree in Business
Administration at the Faculty
of Business & Economics.
Moreover, the Council took a
number of important decisions
which ensures the development
of the academic process and
scientifc research in the light
of the strategic plan to raise the
level and outputs of education.
This is especially since the university
has in its transformation plan
focused on scientifc research.
To achieve this it has developed
new programs, and academic and
scientifc courses as it aims to
transform into an international
research institution and a top
100 university in the world.
The meeting was attended by Mr.

Al Tayer, State Minister of Financial
