Department. Brown has performed
all over the San Francisco, California
Bay Area, and has taught theatre
to students of all ages. A graduate
of Santa Clara University (U.S.)
with a bachelor of Arts in theatre,
dance, and history, Brown also has
studied at Shakespeare’s Globe
in London, and is completing his
master of arts in theatre arts at
San Jose State University (U.S.)
MacLeood lived in New York and
Chicago before settling in the San
Francisco Bay Area, where she
has taught theatre with the San
Francisco Shakespeare Festival. In
addition to performing on stage,
MacLeod ha appeared on television
on the Investigation Discovery
Channel and PBS, and has starred
in the flms Political Animal and
Angel’s Soul and in the web series
EXIT Stage Left. She trained at the
American Musical and Dramatic
Academy in New York and at the
Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in
London. She was named an “Actor to
Watch�? in 2008 by WAVE Magazine.
Billingslea, a member of Actor’s
Equity Association has performed
in plays across the U.S. He is
a former chair of Santa Clara
University Department of Theatre
and Dance, where he teaches
classes in acting and performance
studies. He earned his master of
fne arts in acting at Southern
Methodist University in Dallas,
Texas (U.S.) and holds a master of
arts in secondary education and
a bachelor of arts in English and
communication arts from Austin
College in Sherman, Texas (U.S.).

His Excellency Minister of Health,
issued decree No. 20 of July 2011
for the formation of a scientifc
committee to establish the Emirati
Medical Board to be headed by Dr.
Mohamed Yousif Hasan Baniyas, the
Vice Provost for Medical Science and
Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and
Health Science at UAE University.
The decree defned the
responsibilities of the committee.
It shall be concerned with setting
the standards and procedures for
establishing the Emirati Medical
Board, determining the required
medical specializations, the number
of years of study, the approved
places of training, setting programs
of theoretical and vocational
training and the requirements of
admission to the Emirati Board
such as degrees and experiences.
In addition it should consider the
qualities of doctors to supervise the
programs, kinds of admission tests
of the programs and fnal tests.
The decree indicated that the
committee is also concerned with
determining the entity to award the
certifcate of the Emirati Board and
other requirements or standards
required to establish the Emirati
Medical Board, in addition to the
recommendations and suggestions
to support the establishment of
international recognization of
the Emirati Medical Council. The
Ministerial decree stipulates that
the committee shall commence its
duties from the date of the decree
issuance and the committee is
expected to fnish its duties within
six months. The committee held
its frst meeting in the Ministry
Headquarter in Dubai where the
duties of the committee were
discussed along with its strategy
and setting a schedule to fnish
its designated duties in time.
